City of Cottonwood awarded $3,000 grant
The City of Cottonwood has been awarded a $3,000 grant from the Idaho Community Foundation’s Forever Idaho North grant cycle.
Cottonwood City Councilor Linda Nida said their grant will be used toward construction of a pavilion and playground for the city park.
“A fully functional park builds a sense of community and improves quality of life,” Nida said. “A vibrant park benefits many, retains families and is positive incentive for those moving into our community.”
In total, ICF granted nearly $260,000 from Forever Idaho North this year. Grantees stretch from Boundary County to Idaho County. Since the community foundation began its grantmaking in 1990, nearly $22 million has been granted in north Idaho, including more than $1 million in Idaho County.
