Last Tuesday, June 6th, Prairie Community Library, Cottonwood launched the Summer Book Club (Summer Reading) for ages 7-18.
We will meet on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 11:00 a.m. (June 27, July 25 August 22)  Each month we will highlight a different genre. June genre: Science Fiction.
Come into the library and check out a book of your choice in that genre. On the last Tuesday of the month we will get together and share what we have read and do an activity.  For every book you read, enter your name into a drawing. 
Story time: Ages 2-6 at 10am.  Sing songs, listen to stories and do a craft. Library located in the basement of Cottonwood Community Hall, 506 King St. Library Hours: Tuesday and Thursday 10-5:30

The Prairie Community Library summer reading program is underway—come join in the fun Tuesday mornings at 10 am.
It starts with story time followed by a hands on project each week. The projects are divided into age groups—so bring your school age kids too for arts, crafts and science experiments.
Each week there’s a reading challenge—if you complete the reading challenge your name will be entered into a drawing for a monthly prize. For the month of June you can win a family rodeo pass to take your family to the Grangeville Border Days Rodeo! There are two free family passes available so there will be two lucky winners! They are for the Family Night show.

Drawings will be done on the last day Tuesday of the month-coinciding with the book club activity.
There are two categories to enter your name for the drawings: one entry for every picture book read (for younger readers) and one entry for every chapter book read (for older readers).
June's book genre is Science Fiction. We will be making robots for the activity in June and playing with some lego robotics.
July's book genre is Historical Fiction
August's book genre is Nonfiction
