treats prepared for the 2023 Raspberry Social, taking place on Sunday,
August 6, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Center for Benedictine Life
at the Monastery of St. Gertrude, 465 Keuterville Road, Cottonwood,

Cena Bell Estill Holes, portrayed by her granddaughter, Jeri Mae Holes Rowley, will explain how her son, Ray Holes, developed innovations in saddle making during the 1930s. Beth Forsmann will circulate as Mrs. Ferdinand Goebel, who housed immigrants when they first arrived in the area until they were able to get on their feet. The Raspberry Social will feature a raffle with cash prizes, Seattle Mariners tickets, a beef and pork meat bundle, a quilt, and items made by the sisters and friends of the monastery. There will also be a wide array of arts and crafts vendors, food trucks, tours of the monastery chapel, live music, an art show in Spirit Center, an “Ask a Sister” booth, and a new, used and vintage sale.
