To the Library and Beyond “Books are a uniquely portable magic.” The Board of Directors of the Prairie Community Library, Inc. will be meeting Thursday, September 14 at 1:30 in the Library; everyone is welcome to join us as we strive with contained enthusiasm to progress toward a better future. SEPTEMBER 17 begins a week-long event: National Adult Education and Family Literacy Week. We salute all adults who seek to enhance their education, and especially those who include the entire family. September 22 is Dear Diary Day, so here is your chance to write yourself a story and discover how much you enjoy it. Would you miss Prairie Community Library if it closed its doors? Are we providing a service that makes a difference to you? We at Prairie Community Library would like to be numbered among the “libraries and librarians [who contribute the particular strengths of accessibility and trustworthiness] to advance the culture of health.” And I believe that as long as it didn’t interfere with a “culture of health,” we would be excited about advancing a culture of wealth, as well! Have you had a positive experience at the Library? If so, we’d like you to tell people about it. If, on the other hand, you’ve had a negative experience with us, please let us know and we’ll do everything we can to fix it. Thank you! "When in doubt go to the library." J |
