Prairie hosts cross country meet Prairie had 3 girls finish in the top 5 at the Prairie Invite Cross Country Meet, including Aubree Geis, who finished first at 23:14.8. The meet was held Wednesday, Sept. 13 at the Prairie Football and Track & Field Complex. Evelyn Gehring was third in 24:00.9 while Olivia Uhlenkott was 5th in 25:46.1. Natalie Goeckner was 7th in 28:08.9 while Callie Remacle was 9th in 30:07.5 and Alaina Lustig was 10th in 31:09.2. Prairie had the only full girls team competing. The boys team had 2 top 10 finishers in Ben Secrest, who was third in 20:35.4 and Jackson Enneking, who was 10th in 22:18.7. Chase Vonbargen was running in first when his knee acted up and forced him out of the race. Max Rehder was 17th in 25:23.6 while Dylan Klapprich was 18th in 25:59.5. Zane Uptmor was 19th in 27:18.8 and Landon Riener was 20th in 27:28.2. Timberline edged out Prairie 25-31 in the team competition. Prairie had the top two finishers in the Jr. High boys race as Phineas Fitch was 1st in 9:50.8 and Matthew Jones was 2nd in 11:02.2. Kade Hanson placed 7th in 12:51.5 and new member of the team, Anthony Forsmann, was 13th in 16:24.6.  The start of the high school girls race.
