Lady Pirates lose 3 league matches then win Timberline Tournament
The Prairie Lady Pirates had a rough week in league play as they were swept by both Logos and Potlatch at Moscow on Tuesday, Sept. 19. They were then swept at Troy on Thursday, Sept. 21. They finished the week on an upnote though as they won the tournament championship at the Inaugural Timberline Tournament as they beat Salmon River 19-25, 25-9, 15-3; Clearwater Valley 23-25, 25-22, 15-7 and Timberline 25-17, 25-16 to win their pool. They then beat St. John Bosco 28-26, 25-16 in the semifinals and Lapwai 25-23, 16-25, 15-13 in the championship match. . . .

Local 4-H teams went to the U of I, College of Ag Livestock Judging contest on Saturday. There were nearly 200 youth judging and they came from all over Idaho to compete. They started with the judging contest, enjoyed a catered lunch and tailgate party, some took tours around campus and some got to go to the Vandals football game.
