didn’t start that well as Prairie fell behind 0-3. Three straight kills
by Lexi Schumacher tied it at 3 but Kamiah took back the lead and led
by as many as 6 points at 5-11.They still led by 4 at 13-17 when Alli Geis scored a sideout kill. A kill by Sydney Shears and an ace by Lexi Schumacher cut the deficit to 16-17. After a Kamiah sideout again cut the lead to 1, Lexi Schumacher pounded a spike off of a Kamiah blocker for the game-winner. In game 2, Prairie took a brief lead at 4-3 after 2 aces by Geis but that was the last time they would lead in the game. Kamiah built a 7-16 lead and wound up winning 14-25 to even the match at a game apiece. Kamiah scored first in the third game but then missed a serve. Tamden Pecarovich served Prairie to a 4-1 lead with an ace plus a block by Geis and a kill be Oliver. Prairie built the lead to as many as 9 at 18-9 after Pecarovich’s second turn at the service line. She took over after a net serve by Kamiah made it 14-9. A kill by Geis and 3 kills by Lexi Schumacher made it 18-9. Kamiah then began to chip away at the lead and eventually took only their second lead of the game at 20-21. Kamiah tied it with a tip then bricked their serve to get Prairie to game-point. Lexi Schumacher then scored her second game-winning kill of the match to give Prairie a 2-1 lead. In game 4 Kamiah threatened to blow out Prairie again as they built a 13-24 lead. Lexi Schumacher scored a cross court kill through and Kaylie Lockett went to the service line. Needing to be perfect, she did not miss a serve. She served 2 aces then Lexi Schumacher scored on a block. After a Kamiah timeout, Oliver scored a kill. Another ace by Locket was followed by 2 kills by Lexi Schumacher. Two more aces by Lockett got Prairie within 1 at 23-24. Unfortunately the game ended when Prairie was called for a double hit violation. That sent the match to a deciding fifth game, just like the match at Kamiah earlier this season. Prairie got off to a goo start when Pecarovich served an ace and Lexi Schumacher added a kill for a 2-0 lead. Kamiah came back with 5 straight points to take the lead. After a Prairie timeout, Geis scored a kill then Pecarovich and Oliver each scored a kill to tie the game at 5. Kamiah scored the next 2 points for a 5-7 lead. Kamiah snwered back and took a 9-12 lead before Kylie Schumacher scored a sideout kill. Shears served 2 aces to tie it at 12-12. A double hit violation gave Kamiah back the lead but a free ball kill by Lexi Schumacher tied it and sent Lockett to the service line. Geis slammed a spike off a Kamiah blocker for a kill to get to match point. Oliver then set up Lexi Schumacher for her third game-winning kill of the night that turned out to be the match winner. Logos The Lady Pirates played Logos tougher than they did a week earlier at Moscow but still came out on the short end of the score. At Moscow they were dominated in the first two games and lost the third by 4. This time they were close in two of the lost sets and managed to pull out a 2-point win in the third set. The second set was the only one they let get away from them. With the split Prairie is now 4-7 overall and in league play. Prairie won the JV match 2 games to 1.
