Lady Patriots split two matches
The St. John Bosco Lady Patriots split a pair of league matches last week. On Tuesday, Sept. 26, they swept the Nezperce Nighthawks 25-18, 31-29 and 25-13 at Nezperce. On Thursday, Sept. 28, they lost in straight sets at Kendrick 19-25, 14-25, 9-25.
In the match at Nezperce, Bosco won the first and third sets relatively easily but the second set was a marathon as the two teams battled back and forth after reaching a 24-24 tie with Bosco finally prevailing 12 points later.
Sarah Waters led the Patriots with 11 kills while Noelle Chmelik racked up 17 assists and Raylie Warren had 29 digs.
The match at Kendrick was all Tigers as the 6-point first set was the closest of the 3.
St. John Bosco is now 5-7 on the season and 3-4 in league play.
