4 finish in top 10 at Inland Empire Meet
Prairie had 4 top 10 finishers in races at the Inland Empire Cross Country meet at Lewiston on Saturday, Oct. 7.
In the high school girls JV race Evelyn Gehring was 2^nd in 22:25 with Aubree Geis 4^th in 22:56 and Olivia Uhlenkott 8^th in 23:30. Also Elizabeth Severns was 22^nd in 24:55, Natalie Goeckner was 42^nd in 27:12 and Ella McLeod was 69^th in 32:59 as the girls placed 2^nd as a team behind Sandpoint with 57 points. Sandpoint scored 50. There were 76 runners in the race.
In the Junior High boys race, Phineas Fitch placed 3^rd in 8:33 on the 2500 meter course, which is shorter than the usual 300 meters junior high students usually run. Gabe Severns was 37^th in 10:40. Kade Hanson was 56^th in 11:34 and Anthony Forsmann was 80^th in 14:01 out of 96 runners.
Ben Secrest was the top finisher for Prairie in the high school boys race as he placed 21^st out of 150 runners. Chase VonBargen was 24^th in 19:38. Jackson Enneking was 64^th in 20:56. Max Rehder was 103^rd in 22:49; Dylan Klapprich was 121^st in 24:31. Landon Riener was 123^rd in 24:33. Zane Uptmor was 140^th in 27:33 and Gabe DeCaria was 143^rd in 28:55.
As a team they finished 10^th out of 11 teams with 227 points.
