Prairie and St. John Bosco will each start District Volleyball Tournament play this Saturday, Oct. 14 at the Activity Center on the LCSC campus at Lewiston.
After beating Lapwai Tuesday evening, Prairie finished up the regular season in fifth place in the league. That gives them the #5 seed into the District Tournament.
As the #5 seed they would play Logos at 11 a.m. Saturday.
The first round losers play again at 3 p.m. while the winners play on Monday, Oct. 16 at 6 and 7:30 p.m. The 3 p.m. winners would play again on Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 6:30 and 8 p.m. Those winners will play again at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18 followed by the championship match at 7:30 p.m. The second place match will be at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 19.
Only two teams advance to State from District 2.
St. John Bosco is the #3 seed into the District Tournament. They will play #6 Highland at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14. Also at 1 p.m. #4 Timberline will play #5 Nezperce.  The winners of the 1 p.m. matches will play again at 5 p.m. against Kendrick and Deary. The #3 vs. #6 winner would play Deary while the #4 vs. #5 winner would play Kendrick.
The two 1 p.m. losers would play again at 7 p.m. against losers from the 5 p.m. games.
The 5 p.m. winners would play on Monday, Oct. 16 at 6 p.m. while the 7 p.m. winners would play at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
The late Monday winner would play the early Monday loser at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 17. Tuesday’s winner would play the early 6 p.m. Monday loser at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 18. Wednesday’s winner would advance to the championship match at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 19. Both teams in the championship match will advance to State.
The State Tournaments for both 1A-D1 and 1A-D2 will be in Lewiston on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 27-28.
