The Cottonwood Youth Wrestling Club hosted the 3^rd tournament for the North Central Idaho Wrestling League’s2023 season on November 4^th.
Participants traveled to Cottonwood from Grangeville, Lewiston, Clearwater Valley, Orofino, Potlatch, McCall, New Plymouth, Lion Heart, Hells Canyon, Penuel and St. Maries.
With the help from parents, families, and some community members they were able to register 270 kids ranging from ages 4 to 13. 28 of those 270 kids were from the Cottonwood Youth Wrestling Club.
Medaling in 1^st Kolt Holthaus, Troy Uhlenkott, Bensen Heitman, Elizabeth Long, Brylin Stigum, Forrest Poxleitner, Gage Uhlenkott,
2^nd place-Cooper Lockett, Cole Uhlenkott, Jackson Ross,
3^rd place-Wyatt Duclos, Corbyn Tacke, Jaiden Ross, Vincent Poxleitner, Nyxon Stigum and Raiden Ross.
4^th place-Jasper Paul
5^th place-Rhett Lustig, Lane Witters, McKenna Slichter, Bentley Ross and Madison Ross
6^th place-Ryatt Paul, William Riener and Maddix Clairmont.
Thank you to these kids for raising their own funds to be able to put this tournament on and to their sponsors for also helping make this day possible for our youth. A big shout out to our coaches Jeff North, Steve Lamont, Nick Uhlenkott, Shandrie Stigum, Brandon Ross and Shane Poxleitner for encouraging, inspiring, and coaching the kids. And a big thank you to the parents and volunteers who helped with registration, pairing, concessions and helping the tournament run so smoothly.
