To the Library and Beyond
As we arrive at the end of November we glance across midnight and see the first couple of days of December where we may begin learning a foreign language, reading a new book and writing to our friends.  Did everyone take full advantage of November?  Has your family spent November learning and reading together?  We hope you have attempted to write a creative novel about your life, or at least 100 pages.  We trust you have enjoyed celebrating “rich and diverse cultures, traditions, and histories.”  We expect you have loved your picture books.  Have you college students been applying for available scholarships?
While Prairie Community Library books are taking a few months of vacation, the Board of Directors remains busy looking forward to the next big move to return to operation.  The Library staff misses seeing the loyal patrons who inspire us and make our days in the Library memorable.
The volunteers who manage the Library would like to learn your opinions.  When we reopen what can we do to improve our attitude of personal respect and customer service?
The Library staff and Board extend grateful thanks to Cindy Phillips and Frances Conklin, always very helpful friends, for their assistance boxing up books and so many other contributions.  Many thanks to Jerry Richardson and Jim Rehder for expertly disassembling the amazingly beautiful librarian office surround.  We are immensely grateful to all who helped.
Please continue returning Library books to the Drop Box at north end of the back of the Community Hall building.  Thank you.
