Lady Pirates win 1 of 2 The Prairie Lady Pirates were 1-1 this past
week. On Tuesday, Nov. 28, they won 83-16 over C.V. at Kooskia. Then on
Friday, Dec. 1, they came up short at Grangeville, 49-62 in the Idaho
County Shootout.

SJB Basketball There
are 10 girls and 7 boys out for their respective high school basketball
teams at St. John Bosco. Also the two team each won their first game
and lost their second game. . . .

Students rushed the court to
receive the Idaho County Shootout trophy as Prairie won the competition
between them and Grangeville. The two schools combined to collect a
record $24,424 in food and monetary donations to the local food banks.
This was over $5,000 more than last year. This was the 14th year of the

The annual Cottonwood Lighted Christmas Parade is set for Sunday, Dec. 10 at 5 p.m. Lineup will be at the St. Mary’s Church parking lot starting at 4:30 p.m. The
parade will go from the church down King St. to Main St. then turn
around at Gem Builders and return to the Church. After the parade
Santa’s Cabana will be set up at the church where you can get hot
cocoa, cookies, a children’s gift and photos with Santa. Click on the photo for a larger view.
