Prairie boys to start District play next week
The 1A-D1 District 2 boys basketball tournament will get started on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 16-17 at the higher seeds gym. Prairie is likely to be playing at Kamiah on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 6 p.m. as it is likely either the Prairie or Kamiah girls team will be at State. The Prairie boys basketball team. Kneeling from left are Trenton Lorentz, Levi Gehring, Phil Schwartz, Matt Wemhoff and Logan Weber. Standing from left are Riley Shears, Nate Forsmann, Lee Forsmann, Noah Behler and Briggs Rambo. Above
is the bracket for the District 2, 1A, Div. 1 boys. At this time it
appears Prairie is locked into the #6 seed. First round games are at
the higher seed on Friday, Feb. 16 unless either of the school’s girls
teams make it to State. Then the first round game will be on Saturday,
Feb. 17. As of Tuesday, Feb. 6, Lapwai appears to have the #1 seed
locked up with Potlatch at #2, Kamiah #3, Logos #4, Troy #5, C.V. #7
and Genesee #8. Each school has just 1 league game remaining and the
only thing that could change is if Prairie beats Logos and Troy loses
to Kamiah, they would be tied but Troy beat Prairie both times so would
still be #5 and Prairie #6. We don’t have information yet on the
Division 2 District Tournament. |
