Adams thanked her classmate and 2023 Idaho County First Princess Makenna York, who originally recruited Adams to try out for royalty. “She was the one who convinced my parents that this experience would benefit me in the long run, and boy was she right,” Adams smiled. She also thanked her advisors, both retiring royalty advisor Joyce Gehring-Sonnen, and incoming advisor Tara Connolley for their guidance and assistance. “And finally, my world, and my biggest supporters, also known as my wonderful family,” she emphasized. “My mother has worked so hard to make everything work as smoothly as possible and I am so grateful that I got a funny, honest, and smart human who lets me be myself whatever the situation is, to call my mom. I’m also thankful for my dad for putting up with my mom and me when we come up with crazy ideas, for being my rock, helping me get through thick and thin, and, of course, letting us use his shop to store the float when my sister, Delanie, was decorating.” “That brings me to my sisters,” she continued. “My three sisters are truly like my personal paparazzi and fanclub. They are with me every step of the way pushing me to strive to be the best version of myself. I am so extremely grateful for everyone in my life and if I didn't thank you now, just know you have contributed greatly to my life and the person I am today. Thank you, Idaho County.
