PHS Wrestling program restarted For the first time in several years Prairie High School has their own wrestling program. In the past few years they had a couple of girls that co-oped with Grangeville. The last time Prairie had their own program was the 2017-18 season. There are 7 wrestlers turned out this season led by senior Jake Quintal. There are 3 sophomores: Ashton Martin, Devon Poxleitner and Steel Uhlenkott. There are also 3 freshmen: Zachary Schumacher, Joe Shaw, and the only female wrestler, Avery Schacher. Jeff North is the head coach this season with Shane Poxleitner as his assistant. Former head coach Steve Lamont is helping out. The team has their first competition on Thursday, Dec. 12 at the CIL Dual at Grangeville.
