Wrestlers compete at CV Scramble The Prairie Wrestling team competed at the CV Scramble Tuesday, Dec. 17 at Kooskia. Prairie had 3 wrestlers placed second and another place third in their classes. At 124 lbs. Zach Schumacher lost by pin to Cayuse Haines-Miller of Orofino in 1:01 and also lost by pin to Ryker Wilkins of C.V. in 21 seconds. At 136 lbs., Ashton Martin won by pin over Conner Payton of C.V. in 52 seconds and lost by pin to Austin Houchins of Lapwai in 2:18. At 166 lbs., Avery Schacher won by pin over Anna Agazzi of C.V. in just 10 seconds. She then lost by pin to Isaiah Gomez of C.V. in 1:53. At 197 lbs., Jake Quintal won by pin over A.J. Rasmussen of Orofino in 2:34. He lost to Parker Farmer of Grangeville by pin in 46 seconds. The team’s next action will be at the Orofino Tournament on Jan. 3-4.
