According to coach Glenn Poxleitner, “A very wet and also Slick course. We rested 5 of our girls team and told the rest to run cautiously in the poor conditions.
“We are hoping for a sunny and nice day for districts as our girls team challenges for the district title and our boys see if they can move up enough to slip into one of the team positions going to state. Both boys and girls have some athletes who could or should qualify for the state meet as individuals. Its gut check time for the Prairie XC team. We would like to thank the Prairie Schools and community for your continued support of this new and challenging sport.”
District will take place Thursday, Oct. 19 at Lewiston, the same course as the meet Oct. 7, up near Ziggy’s in the Orchards.
The girls race will be at 3 p.m. and the boys at 3:30.
