Wrestlers compete at Grangeville The Prairie wrestling team saw their first action at the CIL Duals at Grangeville Thursday, Dec. 12. Prairie wrestled together and had some wrestlers from other schools added to their team for the duals to give everyone a chance at competing. The first dual was against Orofino and Ashton Martin lost an 18-32 decision to Hunter Gamble of Orofino at 144 lbs. Jake Quintal won by pin in 1:11 over A.J. Rasmussen of Orofino at 215 lbs. Avery Schacher at 165 lbs. and Steel Uhlenkott at 190 lbs. both won by forfeit. In the dual against Lapwai, Quintal again won by pin, this time in 1:47 over Samuel McFarland of Lewiston. Steel Uhlenkott lost by pin in 1:38 to Jacob Arthur of Lapwai. Martin and Schacher both won by forfeit. In the dual against Grangeville, Martin lost by pin in 15 seconds to Jake Eich of Grangeville. Schacher lost by pin in 15 seconds to Orrin Farmer of Grangeville. Uhlenkott lost by pin in 21 seconds to Parker Farmer of Grangeville. Quintal won by forfeit.
