Pirates win 1 of 2
The Prairie baseball team won 1 of the 2 games played this plus week. On Tuesday, April 23, they beat Nezperce 19-4 at Cottonwood. They were also awarded a forfeit in the scheduled second game of the doubleheader as Nezperce had several players unavailable with most of them being pitchers. On Thursday, April 25, they lost 6-7 to Kendrick. . . .

Boys 4x200 team breaks school record
The Prairie Track team hosted their second Prairie Meet of the season on Tuesday, April 23, and the boys 4x200 relay team broke a school record they had been close to breaking several times this season. The team of Dylan Uhlenkott, Noah Geis, Ben Secrest and Trenton Lorentz ran a time of 1:33.33, breaking the school record of 1:35.1 set by Pat McWilliams, Clayton Lockett, Eddie Anderson and Duane Remacle that had stood since 1995. . . .

Sunday, April 28, the Idaho County orchestra was at the monastery for a wonderful concert. The conductors were Laurie Karel (top photo) and Isabella Baldwin (lower photo).
