Zephyrs win 1, tie 1, lose 5
The Camas Prairie Zephyrs American Legion baseball team had a rough week last week as they won 1 game, tied 1 and lost 5 games. On Tuesday, June 11 they traveled to Orofino where they lost 7-15 and 1-14 to the Orofino Merchants. On Thursday, June 13 they traveled to Nampa for a Wooden Bat Tournament that lasted until Sunday, June 16. They lost to the Spring Creek (NV) Snowcocks 10-15 on Thursday, June 13. On Friday they were shut out by the Fruitland Grizzlies 0-14. On Saturday they tied the Phantom 8-8 and lost to the Boise Storm 2-9. They closed out the tournament with a 6-3 win over the Idaho Falls Grizzlies. . . .

On May 24, UI Extension and Pacific Northwest Canola Association hosted a Prairie Area Winter Canola Tour. Despite cold temperatures, attendance was great! 58 people from 4 states (Idaho, Washington, Montana, and Kentucky) were in attendance.  Sponsors were Camas Prairie Insurance, Hillco Technologies, Idaho Oilseed Commission, Pacific Northwest Canola Association,  Bell Equipment, North Pine Ag Equipment, Viterra and CJ Air.
