Lady Pirates win 2 of 3 league matches The Prairie Lady Pirates won 2 of 3 league
volleyball matches this past week. On Tuesday, Sept. 17 they beat
Kamiah 25-23, 15-25, 25-19 and 25-19 at Cottonwood. On Thursday, Sept.
19, they beat Kendrick 25-15, 25-19, 20-25 and 25-18, also at
Cottonwood. Finally on Monday, Sept. 23, they traveled to Potlatch and
lost 16-25, 25-23, 12-25 and 22-25.

Prairie Cross Country team didn't have a meet this past week. They
hosted a meet Sept. 25 but that will be reported on next week.

| Lady Patriots win 1 of 3 The St. John Bosco Lady Patriots won one of
three league matches this past week. On Tuesday, Sept. 17 they traveled
to Genesee and lost 15-25, 25-16, 8-25 and 16-25. On Thursday, Sept.
19, they opened the new Angelus Center gym at Cottonwood and lost
24-26, 20-25, 25-12 and 12-25 to Deary. Finally on Monday, Sept. 23,
they picked up their first win in the Angelus Center as they beat
Highland 25-9, 25-15 and 24-21.

Andrew Riener made four bat
holders as his 4-H welding project this year, which won the Top Welding
Project Award. He would like to donate them to Cottonwood youth sports
and put them at the Wimer Fields in each one of the dugouts. We will

Lions Club did some weeding and trimming, moving rock and general
cleanup in the Cottonwood Centennial Garden late Monday afternoon. The
